Responsibilities:
Transfer the existing start-up schedule from Microsoft Project to Primavera

Chair or assist with interactive scheduling workshops with various individuals and teams to further develop the schedule

Develop a close working relationship with the scheduler on the capital project to identify critical common milestones and workload peaks and to ensure a tightly integrated schedule

Monitor progress and provide timely updates showing impact on milestones

Identify mitigation for impending delays and risks

Provide weekly updates to the project manager, leadership team and site project management office using established reporting tools

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Minimum Level 7 in a relevant scientific /technical discipline

5+ years working in a similar role in a pharma or biopharma industry with atleast one major project involving implementation of MES and MBR

As a backend and assembly R&D HW Engineer, your role will be ownership of robotics and mechatronics systems development including hardware and software for the future LED components, scaling them from research to production. You will establish collaborations with microrobotics and mechatronics companies for engineering problems and research institutes or laboratories for research problems. You will work closely with internal research teams and external partners and vendors. You will help define project requirements and deliverables, schedule and track project progress, and communicate results and status to all stakeholders. Back-end and Assembly R&D Hardware Engineer, Robotics and Mechatronics Responsibilities
  • Ownership of developing and scaling robotics and mechatronic systems of backend LED and/or CMOS modules internally or at partner facilities worldwide
  • Identify short-term and long-term microrobotic and mechatronics challenges of backend and assembly team. Provide solutions in terms of internal or external developments.
  • For internal development, design, model and develop hardware systems and software solutions. In case of external development, identify microrobotics and mechatronics industrial partners and research institutes.
  • Managing project, vendors and engineers at partner facilities
  • Working with the research team to design and implement experimental work flows and products
  • Travel to different locations and partners (up to 50% of the time)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years’ experience in research and development of robotics and mechatronic systems in academic and industrial settings.
  • 5+ years experience in industrial semiconductor backend or assembly robotic and mechatronic system development and/or integration, preferably in micro/nano assembly.
  • General knowledge of semiconductor microassembly processing modules
  • Deep expertise in at least three of following areas: Robotics, mechatronics, software and hardware development, computer vision, micro/nano assembly, wafer-to-wafer or chip-to-wafer bonding
  • Proficient programming skills, advance experience in C++, C, C#, Matlab, Labview
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluent in German and French
  • Proven technical aptitude in cross-functional and multi-site situations, ideally involving intra-site technology transfer
  • Familiar with other complementary areas such as material science, design of experiment (DoE), FEM, reliability testing, packaging, thermomechanical modeling, etc.
  • Advanced Programming and software development and modeling experience
