Job Purpose

To manage the Hygiene Department ensuring that the Company complies with all relevant legislation.

Added Value for role:
Ensure hygiene standards and targets of cleanliness are achieved and continuously improved. To support the production process through the continuous monitoring of hygiene standards of the plant, machinery and grounds. Local site procedures to be adhered to. Be able to identify opportunities to improve the function and reduce costs whilst ensuring full conformity.

Role Key Accountabilities Added Value

Hygiene equipment management and maintenance

Planning hygiene schedules – ensuring the site is maintained to the required standard

Effective rostering management - work scheduling of team – full task completion

Training/Development – ensure site team is fully trained

Performance Management – responsible for team performance

Health and Safety – promote safety in workplace and comply with legislation

Continuous improvements projects – actively involved and promote new ideas

Recruitment - responsible for maintaining staffing levels

Management of periodic and high-level cleaning activities in conjunction with the onsite Maintenance department

Cleaning procedures and methodology, chemical assessments and verification checks

Liaise with chemical provider, chemical stock management and chemical ordering

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Previous management experience essential and must have strong team building skills

Experience within a Hygiene Department in the food industry preferred

Strong leadership qualities and effective methods of communication

Awareness of employment law

Chemical application, storage and safety controls

HACCP

COSHH essential

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Food Safety Certificate

IOSH/NEBOSH or other relevant safety qualification

Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The generator specialist will be a part of the facility operations team and will be responsible for being the emergency generator system operations expert. The candidate will need to be experienced in all aspects of generator theory, operations and maintenance (electrical, mechanical and controls) and have a working knowledge of electrical distribution and general mechanical systems.

Generator Specialist, Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical /consultative resource for Emergency Generators and supporting equipment.
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of emergency generators.
  • Assist in authoring processes and procedures.
  • Analyze data, develop metrics, and identify trends related to reliability. Contribute to generator maintenance and repair strategy based on data.
  • On-site lead for root cause analysis activities in area of expertise.
  • Some travel to other data center regions.
  • Provide training to critical facility engineers on emergency generators and supporting equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships, scheduling and work scope.
  • Supervise and validate vendor-performed activities (startup, commissioning, maintenance, etc.).
  • Perform any additional services needed to meet the requirements of the facility in support of maintenance functions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
  • 6+ years of experience as a trade or manufacturer generator technician
  • Knowledge of power generation and transfer systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in a data center or other critical environment (pharma, clean room, medical, power production, etc.)
  • Experience managing vendor contracts
